The Nissan Titan achieves 15 city / 21 highway miles per gallon while the Toyota Tundra does 15 city and falls short with 19 miles per gallon in the highway. We attribute the Nissan Titan superior fuel economy to its 7-speed shiftable automatic transmission, which has an extra gear when compared to the Toyota Tundra 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. In addition to better fuel economy, the Titan also shifts over to it offering superior driving range, despite its slightly smaller fuel tank. The Nissan Titan has an average driving range of 390 miles in the city against the Toyota Tundra driving range of 343 miles in the city. When comparing highway miles, the Nissan Titan shows its superiority once again with 546 miles against the Toyota Tundra at 449 miles highway driving range.

Curve Performance

Another important thing to consider when purchasing any vehicle is how it handles the twists and turns that life throws at it. In the category of tire size, the Nissan Titan is able to outperform Toyota Tundra on curves as it has a wider base 265/70R18 tire, while the Toyota Tundra uses 255/70R18 tires, which are a slightly narrower tire size.
